The Make A Splash project volunteers and
members of local service organizations invite you to:

Make a Splash in a Kid’s Life!

Remember your days at the pool? That cooling-off dip in the water, the excitement you felt the first time you took off your floaters and swam solo, diving for pennies with friends, your first swim in the deep end— a lifetime of memories you want to pass on to your children. In the wake of the economy, we are all feeling the pinch. For many in our community, that means cutting out their favorite summer pastime due to swimming entry fees.

In 2010, over 43% of students in Spokane County public schools lived
at or significantly below the poverty level. That’s over 34,000 children!

Fundraising from the Make a Splash project will keep those favorite summer memories alive!

Make A Splash project raises funds to provide low-income
youth access to pools in the greater Spokane area.

Our goal: distribute 2000 summer passes

The newly-formed community volunteer Make A Splash project joins forces with members of local service organizations and concerned community members to make an even bigger impact for Spokane swimmers. The Spokane Parks Foundation is the 501©3 umbrella organization for the Make A Splash project’s ongoing fundraising.

Spokane is an ideal place to grow up. Our area is fortunate enough to boast a dozen neighborhood pools that feature the latest slides and splash pads, making it a child’s summer playground. Every young person, despite their financial situation at home, should have the opportunity to swim in the pools.

Are you in? Take the plunge!

Spokane has always provided the very best for our youth. Carry on the legacy of those first summer milestones every young person experiences at the pools in the greater Spokane area. Help make each summer a great one for all of our youth by providing a healthy, positive activity and environment.

Your contribution is needed now!!!

Your financial donation will make
a BIG splash in a kid’s life.
