By extremely popular request - and just in time for your Memorial Day celebrations - here is the recipe for the cotton candy martinis that everyone enjoyed at our Expo Gala! Thank you to our friends at Centerplate for sharing with us! A softball size ball of loosely packed cotton candy in a large martini glass. Expo '74 40th Anniversary Gala was a HUGE success!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Gala last night! Over 550 people were welcomed to the event by Robbin's Rebels - the new name for the Percussionauts - a group that performed during the Expo 74 Opening Ceremony on May 4, 1974. Start Them Young
Start them young….Sesame Street has teamed up with the National Parks Foundation and the National Park Service to get kids excited about our national parks. http://www.nps.gov/grca/forkids/sesame-street-grca.htm This is all the more important, coming at a time when the National Park Service has had to cut about 1,000 seasonal employees from their employment roles. For some parks this means shorter hours at Visitor Centers, whereas others will close key buildings completely. B
What ARE our trees worth?
When my husband and I moved to Spokane we took 3 1/2 days to drive across the country. By the time we took our exit off of I-90 and turned up the hill to our new home we were filled with anticipation…and a strong desire to get out of the car!
